Art of Africa - An Exhibit in Meyer Library

During Fall Semester 2007, the students in Dr. Billie Follensbee's course ART 386: Art of Africa researched art and artifacts from throughout the African continent. That artwork, along with the students' exhibit text, is now on display in Special Collections and Archives, located in Meyer Library Room 306. Visitors will learn about the symbolism, construction methods, and cultural significance of a wide variety of artwork. The exhibit features artwork on loan from Drury University. Special Collections is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with extended hours on Tuesdays when classes are in session. For more information, call Anne Baker at 417-836-4298.
