Item Status Explanations

• Available - Item is not checked out and should be on the shelf by its call number.
• Checked Out - Item is not available for checkout, another patron already has it checked out.
• Bindery - Item is being rebound outside of the library. It is not available for checkout.
• Display - This item and other similar items are on display in the CRC and can be checked out.
• Mending - Item is damaged and being repaired. It may not be available for checkout.
• New Book Area - Located in the Reference Area, has the newest additions to the General Collection available for checkout.
• Recall - Item is checked out to one patron and another patron has requested to use it.
• Missing - Item cannot be located and is not available for checkout.
• Billed - Item is checked out and overdue. The patron will be charged with fines and replacement costs for the item.
• Lost and Paid - Item is overdue. The patron has been charged with fines and replacement costs for the item.
• Library Use Only - Item cannot be checked out to leave the library.
• In Process - New item purchased for the library has been received. It is being processed to make it available for checkout.
• In Transit - Item coming from another library for a patron or is being sent to another library for a patron there.
• Unavailable - This item cannot be checked out or used at this time.
• Withdrawn - This item is no longer part of the library’s collection and is not available for checkout.
• On Holdshelf - Item was requested by another patron and is being held for them. It is not available for checkout.
• Requested - A patron has placed a hold and asked for the item to be sent to a particular library and held there for them to checkout.
• Off Campus - Item has been sent to another library whose patron has requested it.
• MOBIUS Received - Item requested from another library for a patron has come in.
• MOBIUS Returned - Item borrowed from another library is being returned to them.
• MOBIUS Paged - Item has been requested by a patron from another library, but the item has not yet been sent.
• MOBIUS Cancelled - Item is not available for loan to a patron from another library and the request has been cancelled.
• Renewal Pending - A patron has requested to keep an item longer and the system is checking for holds before the loan period is extended.
• Renewal Denied - A patron has requested to keep an item longer, but the system shows that another patron has requested it.
• Renewal Limit Reached - A patron will see this message when the renewal limit is reached; usually that is 2 renewals.
