In order to access any of the library's licensed databases from off-campus, you must have a current,
valid Missouri State University Windows account and password. The library uses a proxy server to verify
your status at Missouri State before allowing access.
Creating a Windows Account
- Get your Missouri State University ID Number
- Get your Missouri State PIN Number
(Need a PIN number or have forgotten it?)
- Access the Computer
Account Management Logon Page and logon
- Under Available Resources place a check mark by Windows Account and click the Add Resources
button to establish your account. A screen will appear with your Windows Account ID and a temporary password
(can be used one time). Print out this page or write down the information. (Note: It will
take up to a few hours for the request to be processed after submission.)
- After you have established your computer account, you need to change your password. Please follow the steps
below.

- Enter your Missouri State ID Number (Your Social Security Number)
- Enter your Missouri State PIN Number (Need
a PIN number or have forgotten it?)
- Enter your our computer domain (Springfield = SGF; West Plains = WP)
- Enter your Missouri State computer account user ID (Need
a computer account?)
