Research Consultation Form

Welcome to the Reference and Government Information Department's Research
Consultation Service.

An individual research consultation is:

  • An in-depth advisory service about specific library research processes and resources.
  • One-on-one assistance for students, staff, and faculty of Missouri State University. (For Missouri State class instruction, instructors should use the library instruction request form).
  • Available by appointment only, at no cost to users.
An effort will be made to provide a consultant with some knowledge in your field of interest; however, all librarians are qualified to explain appropriate search strategies and fundamentals of the identification and use of electronic, print, and Internet resources as well as the effective use of library catalogs.

Consultations are only scheduled when university classes are in session. To schedule an appointment, please complete the form below:

The reference librarian handling your consultation will confirm your appointment within three working days. We are unable to accommodate same day scheduling requests.
