Biographical/Historical Sketch
Joanne Gordon is currently a professor in the Department of Biomedical Sciences. She was a member of the faculty in the Department of Nursing and Department Head from 1981 to 1987. The materials in this collection are files and articles that Gordon collected during the formative years of the department.
The collection also includes materials regarding the history of the nursing department. These materials were compiled by Shawn Christopher Brown, a student in NUR 481 in 1988.
Scope and Content
The collection documents the history of the nursing department with photo albums, clippings, minute books, program proposals, and newsletters. It spans 1967-2006. See the following box list for a complete list of the collection. Please note that boxes 4-6 contain divider titles that are accentuated with bolded type face in the box list.
