What is Cataloging?

Cataloging is the creation of bibliographic records for SWAN (Missouri State University's online catalog). The Cataloging Department puts records into the catalog for you to search.

Services Performed By Cataloging

• Catalogs all materials in all formats for Meyer Library, Haseltine Library, Curriculum Resource Center, Music Library, and the Paul Evans Library.
• Responsible for the maintenance and quality of the online catalog.
• Handle all rush cataloging requests. Rush requests may be made using the Rush Catalog Request form.
