Fruit Experiment Station Archives |
The Fruit Experiment Station Archives consists of business and general correspondence, plot records, fruit planting and breeding records, working douments, machinery and book catalogs, labor records, ledgers, manuscripts, ephemera, photographs, film negatives, glass plate negatives, maps, blueprints, and other documents that can be associtated with 100-plus years of history of a fruit experiment station.
The archives are stored at the Fruit Experiment Station, also known as the Missouri State University - Mountain Grove Campus; most are housed in the Paul Evans Library of Fruit Science and are managed by the librarian.
The librarian and staff are slowly sorting through and indexing the contents of the archives, readying them for research access. As the contents of the boxes becomes known, a box list, or finding aid, is created. The staff hope that in the future these finding aids will be converted to webpages for all to browse.
Also, special items that have been either digitized or transcribed into HTML code will be linked from this site.
