Librarians at Meyer Library collaborate with faculty to help develop and inspire information literate students. Library and information literacy skill development is central to the mission of the Reference and Government Information Department.
The Library provides numerous instructional options for your courses. To request instruction please complete the form below. A librarian will be in contact with you to confirm the date, time, and location of your instruction session and discuss plans for your class. We design each session to fit the needs of your class so please try to schedule as early as possible. For more information, please see our Instruction Policies.
We strongly recommend that you plan the session for when students are beginning to work on their research project. Note that the first three weeks of the semester might be too early, depending on your course schedule. See Suggested Research Assignments for integrating library research and information literacy into course assignments.
Library Instruction and Information Literacy are programs strongly advocated by the Library, faculty and campus administration. Library instruction at Missouri State University is provided by the library faculty of the Meyer Library.
